Bandit Cannoli Williams is a Georgia-based, Tennessee-born studio assistant whose role centers on proximity, interruption, and complete physical immersion in the creative process. A beagle rescue, Bandit’s work explores the relationship between paw, surface, and space, often inserting himself directly into compositions at critical moments. His presence in the studio is defined by an intuitive understanding of timing, particularly when paint is wet or during moments of careful precision.
Bandit’s process is highly spontaneous and largely instinctual. He is known to walk across freshly painted canvases, sit on works in progress, and occupy drying surfaces without hesitation. His preferred studio activities include extended naps and deliberate stretching across active workspaces. Through these actions, Bandit contributes texture, movement, and, at times, prompts the artist, Symphony, to reconsider her creative process and find new methods of allowing works to cure.
